JIB Medical provides the following services:

 

Annual complete check-up.

  • This includes a complete physical exam and medical history, as well as electrocardiogram and laboratory tests as indicated.
  • It is designed to address any current medical problems and to work with each patient to prevent as many future problems as possible and to help patients have as long, fit and healthy life as possible.

Apprentice exams (arranged by the relevant Apprenticeship Program).

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) exams are now performed by an outside physician to whom we can refer you.

  • The pulmonary function portion of the exam (if needed) is NOT done at JIB.
  • Appointments must be made in advance.

Dieticians - Available in person or online

Immunizations - Flu shots and most others 

Optical department services located in the Electchester Shopping Center - Examinations for glasses or contact lenses.

Radiology services 

Requests to perform prescribed tests from a patient’s doctor

What vaccines are available?

JIB Medical follows the federal CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines.

Flu shots, standard and high dose, are given every season from October through Spring of the following year.

Other immunizations available:

  • Adult per the CDC schedule
    • From age 50 years on Shingrix, to prevent shingles,
    • At age 60 years and above: Prevnar 13 and, one year later, Pneumovax, to reduce risk of dying from pneumococcal pneumonia.
  • All ages:
    • TD (Tetanus-Diphtheria) every ten years or TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) if not had previously.
    • Meningitis as indicated
    • MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) if needed.
    • Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A as indicated
    • Gardasil (to prevent HPV infection and the cancers it causes) for females and males up to age 45 if has not already received Gardasil (helps prevents several types of cancer.
